Network Account / Login
Your login information allows you to access a suite of online and network services, including Blackboard, WebAdvisor, Email, Virual Desktops and more.
WiFi & BYOD
The COM wireless network is available in all classrooms and all buildings on campus! You can bring your own device (BYOD) if you choose.
As a COM employee your email is automatically setup for you 24 hours after Human Resources has processed your paperwork.

Through our partnership with Microsoft, all current employees are eligible to receive Office 365 Pro Plus on their Windows or Mac OS X computers, smartphones and tablets for free.
1TB of Cloud Storage for All Employees
Now COM employees can manage, store, and share up to 1 TB of their documents all in one place, securely and easily, with Microsoft OneDrive.
To better serve today’s digital learning environments COM has 1 iPad cart and 6 laptop carts. If you wish to loan a mobile cart please make a formal email request to firstname.lastname@example.org with the day and time of class or meeting or by phone (call 409-933-8302) at least 48 hours before your intended use. Please note that the iPad’s are not permitted to be removed from the main campus.
Web Time Entry
Web Time Entry is a web-based system designed to enable employees to submit hours worked and leave taken electronically, eliminating the paper submission of time sheets, attendance and leave forms. All time must be approved by a supervisor before it can be processed by Payroll.
Skype for Business is a unified communications solution, using Voice Over IP (VoIP) technology, from Microsoft that facilitates online collaboration through a rich set of integrated features. COM students, faculty and staff can use the software to communicate in new and exciting ways.
College of the Mainland is excited to offer faculty, staff and students Microsoft Office 365 e-mail. Office 365 e-mail will deliver a cutting edge and feature rich e-mail experience to COM faculty, staff and students.
Technology Requisition Process
All purchases (except for consumables) for technology will be made through Information Technology Services (this includes grants and other organizations).
